Celebrating Our Sixth Anniversary with a New Look!
For the first time since our inception on 9/15/2005, the Fairbank Report/Ruyi Baogao has undergone a major facelift. We hope you like it since we spent all night making the changes. Now off to bed @ 08.00 PDT.

the fairbank report ...如意報告...Ruyi Baogao
In this new year, The Fairbank Report adds a Chinese corollary to its name. See above.
Since about 50 percent of our stories and commentaries relate to China and the Far East, it is appropriate to add a Chinese corollary name (Ruyi Baogao or the Scepter Report).
The Fairbank Report remains the official title of this blog.
Let us know what you think of this change.
Thank you,
The Fairbank Report's Editorial Board.

Asian Rock: Thomas' Apartment
Ok. Don't say we ain't hip here at the Fairbank Report. Today we're featuring an Asian-American band whose members consist of Vietnamese/Chinese graduates of UCLA: Thomas' Apartment. It's a great sound -- combining an indie flair with the thoughtfulness of high art. Their latest MV, "Temperature," is quite good...

Happy Third Anniversary (9/15) to the Fairbank Report
Another successful year in the blogosphere. Covering the stories and controversies that MSM dare not touch! Over the last three years, this Fairbank Report has gone from strictly covering news (with a 'tude) and commentaries to now covering all facets of modern life and love in the blogosphere.
Thank you, again, to our dear, dear readers... We know you're out there for us.

WOW!

We at the Fairbank Report have always bridged the gap between East and West on all things. And we are delighted to do so again in the case of the most beautiful woman in the world: the lovely Han Ga-in of Korea, aged 26. Actress and super-model, Ms Han (who is married to a fellow Korean actor) is widely known in South Korea and the Far East for her beauty and elegance. And yes, she's all natural; there's nothing plasticky about her, which makes her even more amazing. One can't improve on Nature.
Yet, she is a virtual unknown in the West, which is a loss for Westerners because never before have our eyes seen such beauty and perfection...

Spitzer Story Has Legs, Pun Intended
The Spitzer postings on the Fairbank Report have had the largest number of hits to date of any FR stories. We were glad to cover it in such a dynamic way.
But it is also a sad commentary about our society: Trash and scandals lead while substantive issues lag...

9/15/2005 - 9/15/2007
Congratulations and happy second anniversary to the wonderful, intelligent and humorous staff of the Fairbank Report!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for two years of pugilistic, incisive, analytical, humorous (in the Swiftian sense), hard-hitting, cantankerous and beautifully crafted commentaries. Keep the good stuff coming!
