A Liberal's Truth

By Thomas Derr

Geraldine Ferraro is absolutely right about the MSM's and the public's obsession with Barack Hussein Osama. (SNL's skit about how the MSM fawn over Barack Hussein Osama is not far from the mark.)

Yes, he's gotten this far this fast because he's (supposedly) black.

From my numerous personal experiences in group work, whether in graduate school or in the corporate world, when a group leader is needed, and a black guy is around, we always felt/feel like we "owe" it to him to select him group leader.

Specific case in point: I was on a jury panel not too long ago. It was a mixed panel of whites, Asians, Hispanics and one black guy. Guess what? The group chose the black guy to be foreman. It was an unanimous decision. We knew very little about the guy save that he's black.

There's something in contemporary American culture that rushes black guys and gals to the head of the line, provided that they are not too scary-looking. This is part and parcel of white guilt. Interestingly, white guilt is so pervasive that it has bled to non-whites as well. I chose the black guy for foreman out of "white guilt," even though I am not at all white.
